When we work on offshore rollers for a client we understand the particularly demanding environment in which the rollers will have to operate. Offshore rollers of this kind are usually installed on gas or oil rigs located at sea, and as such they need to be constructed in order to cope with extremes of weather, the demanding nature of the heavy machinery or plant which has to be moved around the platform and, most particularly, the corrosive nature of sea water.
We have to factor in these particular demands when designing, manufacturing and installing offshore rollers, utilising materials which can cope with difficult and corrosive conditions and designing roller systems which can operate over the long term despite the demands being placed on them. The fact that every stage of the process will be handled in-house by AED means that we can deliver to the kind of tight lead times which often apply to industrial installations without compromising on quality. We also make use of well-established supply chains to source the kind of specialised material needed for offshore rollers, and our understanding of offshore industries means that we deliver roller installations which combine efficiency with durability.
We can supply offshore rollers which are multi-faceted, combining motorised conveyor rollers of varying widths with gravity rollers and specialised accessories like stoppers and spiral lifts.
As well as designing and installing offshore rollers from scratch we provide a repair and replacement service which ensures that any downtime caused by a malfunctioning offshore roller is kept to an absolute minimum. We understand how expensive it can be for an oil or gas rig to be operating at less than 100% efficiency because a roller isn’t functioning, and so we use experience, supply chains and streamlined working methods to ensure that our clients systems are up and running again as quickly as possible.
